MANAGED IT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
You run your business. We run your IT.
Your time is better spent running the business than managing technology. We take responsibility for the IT behind it, while keeping you involved in the decisions that actually need your input.
Talk to us about your IT
Tell us what has prompted the conversation. We'll take it from there.
IT that follows where your business is going
Before we can manage your technology properly, we need to understand the business it supports. We spend time learning how you work, where you are heading and what your team relies on.
From there, we keep an IT Roadmap showing the work ahead and what it is likely to cost. We walk through it with you in person, agree the priorities and keep it current as the business changes.
Less IT landing on your desk
Your staff deal directly with us
Your team has dedicated support channels and can come straight to us when something needs fixing, changing or setting up. They don't need to route every request through a manager first.
We deal with the other suppliers
Your CRM, phone system and specialist software will often have their own support teams. When an issue crosses between their system and the technology we manage, we work with them directly rather than asking you to carry technical information backwards and forwards.
The routine work gets taken care of
New starters, access changes, devices, licensing and the other jobs that accumulate around your IT need somebody to own them. We keep track of that work and come to you when there is a decision or approval that genuinely needs your input.
Remote support is included in the managed service. Your staff can contact us when they need help without every support request becoming another purchasing decision.
Before we recommend anything, we want to know what we're looking at
If we need a closer look at your current environment before making a recommendation, we'll carry out our Systems Review at no cost.
We developed the review because checking the computers and Microsoft 365 only tells part of the story. We work through roughly a hundred checks covering accounts and access, devices, security, backups, networking and documentation, as well as the policies, governance and processes around the technology.
It gives us both a clearer picture of where things stand. We can see what is already being managed well, what needs attention and what should be allowed for on your IT Roadmap.
Want to take a first look yourself?
Our free Security Self-Check covers a smaller slice of the same territory. It looks across your systems, processes and people and takes around five minutes to complete.
Take the Security Self-CheckSecurity is already part of the service
Your managed service includes the security around the environment we look after. We don't leave account security, device protection, email filtering, patching, backups and monitoring as optional extras that can quietly be omitted to reduce the monthly price.
It also gives you a much better starting point when somebody asks about your security.
If an insurer, client or supplier wants to understand the controls in place, we can work from an environment we already manage and document rather than starting with assumptions about what may or may not have been configured in the past.
We work with the software specialists you already have
Your finance platform, CRM and specialist applications already have people who know those products better than we do. We want them involved when the problem is inside their software.
Where it crosses into Microsoft 365, user access, the computer, network or another part of the environment we manage, we deal with our side and work directly with the vendor on theirs.
The same applies to projects. If you need expertise outside our area, we'll tell you and, where we can, introduce someone we trust.
Changing IT provider without making the handover your project
Changing provider means transferring years of access, documentation and accumulated knowledge while your staff still need to work.
We use what we've already learned about your environment to plan the handover and deal directly with your existing provider to collect the access, documentation and technical information we need.
Every new managed client then goes through our dedicated Security and Productivity Kick Start project during onboarding. We use it to bring the environment to the standard required for ongoing management, complete the initial security and productivity work, and establish a clean starting point for the relationship.
Anything that should happen later goes onto your IT Roadmap rather than being rushed into the handover.
Where we need your authority, approval or a business decision, we come to you. The technical conversation stays between the technical teams.
See how this works in practice
Professional services organisation
From adequate IT support to a planned relationship
A Christchurch publishing and advocacy organisation with roughly 30 staff was already receiving support from a large national provider. The technology was broadly working, but account management had become thin and the senior leadership team had very little regular discussion about what was coming next.
We now support the wider team and maintain a full-year IT Roadmap with an indicative budget, reviewed regularly with the SLT.
Insurance brokerage
Bringing IT risk under control
A growing Christchurch insurance brokerage started looking more closely at its technology during a wider conversation about business risk.
After reviewing the environment and completing the initial Security and Productivity Kick Start project, we took ongoing responsibility for the support, security and planning around it.

People your staff will actually know
Most of our clients know our engineers by name. Your staff speak to the same local team on the phone and see us when we're onsite, rather than starting again with a different person every time they need help.
Daniel and David spent years working in healthcare environments before joining or founding ITstuffed. That included systems where changes had to be planned carefully because other people were relying on them.
Professional services IT doesn't carry the same consequences, but the habits came with them. We want to understand an environment before changing it, document the work properly and know how we will recover if a change doesn't behave as expected.

Daniel
Before founding ITstuffed, Daniel worked as a registered nurse and paramedic.

David
David spent nearly 20 years maintaining radiation therapy systems in major New Zealand hospitals, including Christchurch Hospital.
“Our medium sized business changed IT providers to IT Stuffed six months ago and the service has been excellent. We are making good progress to strengthening our IT infrastrucute and we have more confidence that our data and business security is improving.”
Frequently asked questions
What does managed IT cost?
Our Advanced managed IT package starts at $675 + GST per month for five users. The final monthly cost depends on the number of people and the package that suits the business.
We'll give you the actual recurring cost before you commit.
What is the Systems Review?
It is the assessment we developed to understand your environment properly before making recommendations or taking responsibility for it.
We work through roughly a hundred checks covering Microsoft 365, accounts, devices, security, backups, networking and documentation, as well as the governance, policies and processes around the technology.
Where we need that additional detail, we carry out the Systems Review at no cost.
How disruptive is changing IT provider?
Most of the technical handover takes place between us and your existing provider.
We plan the transition around keeping your staff working and come to you where we need authority, an approval or a business decision. You don't need to manage the technical exchange between the two companies.
Do you support Xero, MYOB and our CRM?
We support the technology around those applications and work with the software vendor when an issue crosses between systems.
If the problem is inside the application itself, its support team is normally the right specialist. If it involves Microsoft 365, the computer, network, user identity, access or another part of the environment we manage, we take care of that side.
Is cyber security extra?
No. Core cyber security is deliberately included in our managed service rather than being treated as a collection of optional add-ons.
Security Plus adds further controls for businesses with greater security requirements.
How do our staff get help?
Your staff can contact our service desk by phone, email or through the client portal. Remote support is included, so asking for help doesn't create a separate support charge each time.
Requests are logged and prioritised according to their impact on the business.
Can you work with our other technology suppliers?
Yes. We expect professional services businesses to have specialist vendors alongside their IT provider.
Where their work touches the environment we manage, we work with them directly rather than expecting you to coordinate the technical conversation.
Thinking about your current IT support?
You may already know what you want to change. Or things may be working reasonably well and you simply want another view on whether the business is getting enough from the relationship.
Tell us what has prompted the conversation and we'll start there.
